On the evening of February 7th, the Association of Angkor Digital Culture Council of Cambodia and the London Music Academy held a dinner reception party at Raffles hotel le Royal Phnom Penh. Since then, the “The First Cambodia-UK Culture and Art Festival 2023” series of activities has begun with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia and the Ministry of Culture of United Kingdom and the London Music Academy.
His Excellency, Dr. Hei Virak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia, His Excellency, Mr. Dominic Williams, British Ambassador in Cambodia, Oknha. Deng Pibing, Chairman of “Association of Angkor Digital Culture Council”, and Ms. Helen Wang from London Music Academy delivered speeches and unanimously praised the cooperation between the two parties as a great promotion for the development of culture and art of the two countries.

At the dinner reception party, Oknha. Deng Pibing, Chairman of “Association of Angkor Digital Culture Council”, said: Cambodian and British culture and art have their own unique charm and connotation. We will also use the next series of art activities to raise more funds to support the learning and growth of the new generation of art talents. At the same time, it also creates a better environment for art exchange and learning for more young art lovers and artists.”
In the event, the British cello soloist and conductor Mr. Julian Lloyd Webber, who was the dean of the Royal Academy of Music in Birmingham, Mr. Mark Messenger, world-renowned violinist, conductor and educator, director of the String musical instrument Department of the Royal Academy of Music in London, Korean-American composer, arranger, and violinist Miss. Elly Suh, famous Thai violinists Dr. Akkarawat Srinarong and Miss. Ariya, famous Thai cellist Mrs. Kanyapas and other artists came on stage to perform for the guests and bring the atmosphere of the event to the peak.
